Backlinks reported by google

Google Webmaster tools is showing I have 2,746 backlinks from designergiftessentials.biz. I have no idea where those came from and they weren't listed by google yesterday.

Anyone have any ideas?

You come across those sorts of glitches all the time. Not a lot you can do about it.

Google Webmasters tells you all the pages where the links come from. Check out those pages ...

Click through and do your own research.

The URL I posted is all google shows. Just a single URL. No inner page references, etc. That is more than the backlinks google listed before from all the other backlinks combined.

Yeah, I have seen that before as well, where GWT lists a large number of links from the one site. I thought that perhaps it might be link on a sidebar (link list) that shows up on every page that G has indexed for that site (page, post, tags, etc), however I speak with no authority here. One of the great Google mysterys of the internet universe.

Yep that sounds like it was a sitewide link.
