Hi, for some of the keywords that I am targeting, when I do a search on Google to check their rank, it does not show up anywhere in the first ten pages, but occasionally in Google analytics, it shows a visitor for that keyword. Do you know what is going on with this? I highly doubt people would go ten or twenty pages in and then click to my site. Is this a sign that the site may soon rank well for the keyword? Thanks |

Do you have any back links on other sites that are hyperlinked through anchor text using the keywords the visitors are using (the ones that aren't ranked on page 1)? The traffic could be coming from there and not from the search engines.

Well google doesn't just show generic results to everyone, it caters to where you are, what you've clicked on in the past etc. It could be a google images click from that keyword or another google type search engine, or it just came up on page one for someone else even though it doesnt show up on page one for the masses.
