| 1-11-2012 UPDATE: I decided to go page by page through the SERPs and after going waaaaaaaay back to page 49, I saw my webpage that disappeared. The good thing is my site was not banned, the downside is the waiting game. Moving forward, I need to keep adding content and pace myself as far as adding backlinks. I think I added too many too fast. I'm still getting on average of 20 visitors a day from that page. It was nice seeing over 100 a day but in due time it will retuen. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I was just starting to make sales and than all of a sudden, my webpage vanishes. I cannot find it anywhere. It was the only page as the site was new and I can only work on the website a few times a month as I have a full-time job. My webpage was in spot number 5 on page 1 now it's gone. I was just starting to get 100 visitors a day. It's been about 4-5 days now and I still can't find it. I did submit to Google for reconsideration. Should I keep adding content or dump it and move on? |

Just seems like the Google dance. Has it been deindexed altogether or is it just way down in the rankings?

Keep adding content on it, and see if google ranks it back up. If you have some visitors already then do not end it, there are also other search engines like yahoo and bing so do not give up hope and keep at it. Try to follow googles guidelines, make sure you did not break any rules. |

You should keep adding content. Although Google is the best, but it is not the only search engine. You still have yahoo, bing, etc |

Same exact thing happened to my site ... I had to wait about a week, and now my site is back. I would add some more content, and keep building links. I added a Privacy Policy and Terms of Use pages ... not sure if it helped. |

Keep it. If it happened recently, it is not likely to be the panda update, like many mentioned here, just a google dance. You need to think about the few days just before your site disappeared from the rankings, one reason could be that there was a suddenly injection of backlinks pointing to your site. Another unlikely reason could be that the domain name has expired but haven't been auto renewed. (perosnal experience) will not happen to many people but still a likelihood depending on your host. Another reason could be that it was hacked and code that the search engine didn't like was detected. That's too over the other side of the field of thinking though ![]() It should be the google dance, hang on, it should come back in a few days or weeks, when it's back, it could be ranked higher |

How old is your site? This is common with newish sites. I'd just keep working on it and see if it pops back over time. If you have a site that you know makes money, don't just give up on it.

Your experience is completely normal. Don't worry. Just keeping adding content and building backlinks and you'll see your site bounce back soon.

To quote Despicable Me "Liiiiiight bulb" A large amount of single page websites have been taking a hit lately with Google clamping down and favouring content driven sites instead. As someone else pointed out, start adding content. Use article writers to write articles for targeting your niche using search volume KW's and then have them publish at intervals. The is a chance it could come back, but more likely than not, it won't unless you change your tactic. | |

If it is totally removed by the search engine then your site might be banned for some reason. Have you used any unethical SEO tactics to promote your site? If yes than please correct your mistake and remove all the unethical work you have done. then sent reconsideration request in Google Web Masters Tools.

So, there are a couple of things that might be occurring with your website. First, it could be dancing. If it is dancing, there is no knowing how long the site will dance for. It could be gone for a week or a few months. I have a page on a 5 month old site that was sitting at ~250 regardless of what I did for about 3 months before it started reacting to new backlinks. If it is dancing, continue adding new content to your site and backlinking your pages Your site may have also experienced a freshness period where Google artificially boosts your rank to test how traffic reacts to your content. This period is used by Google to get an idea of how good your content is and how much the traffic they send to your site likes it. If your bounce rate is high or your time on site is low, you may get dinged (not penalized). After this period, your site will drop to it natural SERP. Compare your backlink profile with the competitors on the page you were at before. How does your site stack up? |

If its new you should add no more than 25-100 links a day and mix it up. None of that 20k blasts or Big G will surely slap your site. The dance is normal even for an established site if you do some backlinking....I took a page on one of my sites and started adding about 20 links a day and it completely vanished in the SERP's then came back on Page 1 where it now resides. Be patient and keep making money.

Nah, just keep building links. It is best if you shower it with increasing link velocity. Like give it 1000 links today, 1200 tomorrow, 1300 the day after tomorrow, etc.
