Rank Variations In Google?

Hi,

I will do seo for my website in past 8 month, i get good traffic & lead conversions, In the google search engine postions should be varied what is it, if my work is wrong or something else?

In google i see my website position is varying from different location, but the keyword are same. Once i check my keyword in USA based google search it will show my website as 5th position in Google 1st page on search engine. then i search asian based google search engine it show my website as 1st position on google 1st page on search engine. what is the reason for google rank variation in different regions. when it comes the ranking are same in all search engine.

Remaining search engine yahoo & bing show my website are same in all region asian & US based search engine.

Google shows different results for different locations.

If a user is based in UK, Google prefers to display websites which are specifically targeting UK audience or which it thinks is suitable for UK audience.

This is why you are getting different results for different locations.

The results shown by google depends on different location as user is based on USA then it just display the only results which are related to USA first.

yes it meant do be happen , different region have different competition on the keyword that you using, so ranking meant to be change on different local search engines.

I've been working on a similar task for our company. My first question is: Are you using a proxy to mimic your location or just using the relevant google tld? It makes a difference- due to the replies above. Note that Google has data centres all around the world and will use shortest route to data centre. If you're not using a proxy, then updates in ranking for your local tld will occur a few weeks before other tlds (ie google.com). To improve your global presence you need to speed up your site (use a CDN) and take into account coloquialism etc. You can't talk about selotape in Austrailia like you can in the UK! Bounce rate will be a factor regionally, so if your site's central to the US in terms of service or products, people won't stay on it in Asia, so this'll have a factor (ie they leave after 1 page view, unlike the US, where it may be 3 pageviews). Server location will also be a factor, due to the IP address.

Its not unique thing Google give separate result to regional and universal if you search in .co.uk then you would get more result from uk

Thanks to all guys, for all your suggestion, its not possible to maintain the unique ranking in all local & regional location, that's what you guys are said.

My question is the remaining yahoo, google, ask, & some local search engine are displayed the same results in all local & regional location . google only shows diffterent result in different location. Rebacca said it depends upon on the keywords & traffic for the region. i accept your point.

In google the rank variation are temporarily occurs or, Is there any option to change, Since my website is fully based on US, so my Sales is concentrated only in US, but the crazy thing is, In all the location like asian, european, australian locations my website will be 1st position in google 1st page.

Especially in US my website will be in 5th position in google. Now what is next move , i need the ranking only in USA.

How to increase the traffic & increase the sales & marketing in USA?

definitely, if you are in us then you will get results from US. if some one searches hotel keyword in google us he/she will get us hotels results at priority but if he/she searches hotel keyword in Google UK then you will get results based on UK

Thanks stuart, if i get my website at #1 spot in US, moreover i will be work seo in USA iam right?, So my website work will be done only in US then only its possible ?
