Hi Can someone offer some help with choosing a niche to create a website on. I am interested in animals but I'm unsure about what animals to write about and whether to create a broad website that has information and pictures about all types of animals or smaller niche sites with information and pictures for every type of animal? I am prepared to research and write the content that I learn about each type of animal. |

Many years ago I used a site called kwbrowse.com but it seems to have disappeared so after a bit of research I found a site called kwmap.net, which may help you find your niche. Good luck, Paul |

Will I can't afford Niche Finder and I'm not sure what theme to choose if I am creating a niche site about 3-5 animals, any ideas? I think I would prefer to write about a smaller amount of animals though so that I don't get too overwhelmed. Wordsofmagic Thanks, I really appreciate the information about that site, I will check it out. |

As far as free niche research goes you can try a free trial of Market Samurai, its also a good solution to niche research. | |

Will Thanks again for the links to those great templates. I'm actually thinking of going with html templates instead of Wordpress. Can you tell me if you know of some great free html animal templates that I can use for adsense or affiliate products? |

Are you more interested in writing about animals or in about making some money from whatever you create your site about??? I ask because, yes, I always tell people to try and make money from something they enjoy but I would only have someone do that if it also had a good potential to make them some money. I have posted it so many times on here before and it is also something I give away to my list building subs so just search on here for how to do market and keyword research. |

First you need to decide if you are going to have a website about animals that is "how to" in nature, or do you want a site that sells Animal toys, food, clothing, etc. Once you figure that out you can narrow your niche to any level you want. I would suggest if you don't have micro niche finder you learn how to do some keyword research with the Google Keyword tool. There is also a program similar to market samarii that is called Traffic Travis and it has a free version to help you as well.

Try to pick an animal and thus related keywords that have a high ppc bid in adwords! This way, you'll make a lot more!

I'm suprised you actually got a response... 7 years here and you never thought about thanking someone and you have never being thanked ![]() But anyway I give because I can... Build an authority site and mold it into an asset... more info means more keywords which equals more money (if you monetizing right). ...by authority I mean make it a general animal site! |

Hi Thanks everyone for replying. I know how to do keyword research, I'm uncertain about what niche to go with. I think I need to start targetting very long tail keywords that will rank quickly. Will, thank you for those links, I really can't decide what to do. RhondaG, I really can't decide whether to go with the 'how to' or sell animal toys, products and so on, can you offer some advice? I thought about doing a general niche animal site with information and pictures about the species. Do you think that could work or does it need to be a how to site or sell products? I'm interested in dogs, rabbits, cows, etc. Thanks |
