Newbie needs help with SEO

Hi there,

I hope you guys could help me out.

I've been doing SEO for the past six months and made a lot of beginner's mistakes along the way.

Basically, I do affiliate marketing and I have a question about meta tags, I've got a couple of sites aimed at niche markets but I was too cocky going after too high PRs. (PR3)

If I changed my meta tags for example from whitening cream to lightening cream, will google put my site under lightening cream at the next PR update?
I'm asking this question because I want to know if I can avoid doing SEO on a new site.

And will the website address matter to google? For example my site is whiteningcream.com and I change the meta tags to lightening cream, keeping the same domain.

In my opinion the domain name plays a big part, but its not the be all and end all. Take this forum for example. It ranks for "Internet Marketing Forum", but it doesnt have that in its domain name at all.
Your meta tags will kick in next time Google crawls your site. There are a number of important other factors when it comes to on-page SEO, so don't worry too much about the domain name.

Yes it will rank for that keyword. The adress does play part in it, but if the content and meta tags go towards a different keyword they will most likely rank for the different keyword. Dont stress your self out too much this is a learning process.

If you change the meta tags with alternative words then it would be change by Webmaster tool. And gonna change over the search engine ranking.
