Wordpress commenting

A quick question about Wordpress . Often when I leave a comment on wordpress blogs I include an embedded link in the comment only to see nothing happen. No confirmation , no spam warning. Just a return to the same page. Should I assume Wordpress sites often ignore comments that contain a link ? The same pages will add a comment say "comment awaiting moderation" if I remove the link. I link using the standard "a href" format.

You should not put html there, just the url of the site. That's probably the reason your comments are getting rejected.

Gotcha, cheers. So with Wordpress I should just stick to the URL or put a keyword in the name field yeah ?

Also, some sites not giving confirmation. Aren't you commenting high OBL wp sites?

It's not all sites. The OBL sites work fine so I was wondering why some sites were having no effect. Thanks for your help guys

Yeah avoid HTML linking there .It creates the chance of black listing on wordpress.

Maybe the blogs you're commenting on are not accepting comments. They just put comment boxes but they don't accept new comments.

Or maybe the blogs are not updated. The webmaster is not checking the blogs. And some WordPress blogs doesn't allow anchor text links in comment box.
