Default Why Ranking Jump and Move?

Hey I have been doing SEO for a while now and I have seen the Google dance in full swin but how can you find out the reason your rankings go down if your slowly building links and increasing the velocity while providing quality content?

I know links can drop off and you lose the juice with the links that do that but if you continue to build links then they should just replace them and your site shouldn't move in rankings? of course competitors are building or getting links and this could be just my site getting out ranked?

So if it's not any of the above would it be something as simple as a page being to optimized for a keyword? or not having enough deep link on our site?

Also i add fresh content every week also for the last 4-6 months so that wouldn't be it what else could it be?

I would love to hear what you guys have experienced and what you normally do when you see these ranking fluctuation. Because normally I just continue building links and offering more and more value to the user.

Thanks

Isaac
