Hello, I was wondering if Local Search Trends play a BIG role in searching suitable keyword? For example, I found a nice keyword with 10,000 exact local match searches, but it's search trend is this this (look at the attached file). So is it worth trying or not? Since it's not generating any search results from the may 2011 according to local search trends :/ |

If it is not creating any search volue since may 2011 then it is a bit more than a trend. I would say this is not a good KW but I don;t know what it is. But if it is something like "2012 Olympic tickets" then it does get some volume and you can try to monitize it but it would hav egot a massive search volume and people will have SEO'd their sites over the last half of 2011 so it is a bit too late to start now.

Absolutely, it’s worth try! I recommend you to invest in this local keyword, because although the search trend is less, your efforts to be well positioned in searchers are minimal (no competition) and you will see profitability soon.
