Default How to find right keywords for adwords ?

Hello,
I tried adwords many times, i tried many keywords and i made less than 1% sales. I have read somewhere that some people can make 5% of sales wich means 5 sales for each 100 clicks. All i want is to make at least 1% sales. My website is about tours in Morocco. Any ideas, tips or ressources to learn more and to make more sales for our tours packages ?
Thanks

Hey. Please write more specific info, as it's hard to give you any advice knowing so little. Give your site url.

Thanks SinSimon for your reply, what kind of info do you need ? my website url is : travel-morocco-tours dot com.

usually i get the quality score 7 for some keywords like morocco travel, morocco holidays and morocco tours but they're too expensive. They cost like 1,28$/click and they convert less than 1%. I wonder if there's something i can do to pay less and to convert more
Thanks again

Hi Majdi33,

You will tend to have different conversion rates for different keywords. You need to test as many different, highly relevant, keywords as possible. Learn the conversion rate for each and then focus on all the keywords that can result in a positive ROI.

The thing you should really focus on primarily is your landing pages. How well targeted your landing page is toward the keyword, how well the page layout is optimized, and how well written your sales copy is will determine your conversion rate. You should be split testing multiple versions of your landing page until you find a winner. You may need multiple landing pages, each optimized for a set of keywords.

The bottom line is that you need to be testing variants of every key element of your landing pages, ad text, and keyword selections. You will find that very small changes will make a huge difference at times, and the only way to learn which changes work best is by testing.

p.s. I took a quick look at your homepage, if you are pointing your ads to the homepage of your website that is what you need to change. The homepage of your website is not well optimized for conversions.

Thanks dburk,
My landing page isn't my website homepage but the page : travel-morocco-tours/morocco-tours (dot) com. I tried all my best to make it SEO but i don't know if it's a good page to make conversions. I'm not expert in adwords.
I hope have more advice about that.
Thanks again

I see, it appears that you don't really have a page designed for conversions. You are not going for a sale on the website, but instead focused on lead generation. Your pages are not optimized for lead generation it just points your visitors to the generic contact page.

Instead, consider designing a form specifically for lead conversion. Perhaps a form to request specific prices for a certain date. Offer to send the price for the desired departure date along with travel documents required for that package. Put the form on the same page as the tour package sales copy. That will help get more leads.

Also, revamp your sales copy, it reads very dry and unemotional. People are motivated to action by their emotions, write something that sparks the imagination and appeals to the readers emotional side. Use conversational style copy, make it read like someone sharing an amazing heart felt experience with a dear friend.
