Domain expired pending renewal or deletion

I found a domain that is parked as a godaddy parked page and at the top of the page it says:

"Notice: This domain name expired on 12/29/2011 and is pending renewal or deletion"

When will it become available? Will it go to expiring auction or closeouts or will it just be cancelled and I can register it? It's now Jan 2012 and that notice is still there on the parked page.

There is a 'period of grace' after the domain expires.

Off the top of my head,I think it's about 45 days.
