Hi There, I am a newbie to the site, so hello! And I am hoping someone can help with some questions/queries I am coming up against. 1) I have read on some forums that one should use their best quality articles for their own website rather than posting it on directories? How can you do this given that their is no area to post articles but on 3rd party directories?? 2) Is it worth submitting the same article on different directories but change the title to make it unique. 3)Finally when writing articles I have noticed that some articles have hyper links behind the keyword throughout the article. Compared to others that only have the links in the author resource area. Which one is correct and do you get penalised if you choose the incorrect option? I would really appreciate it if you can get back to me on the above thanks v much. |

In answer to your first question. You can use your high quality articles for both purposes, post them on your site first and wait for them to be indexed by the search engines first, most article directories require your to be a member of their site so sign up. If you want your articles to be on other peoples blogs you either need to find one that which takes guest posts or email the owner. For number two, most agree that when syndicating your content you only really need to change the bio box where your links are, the potential problem here is that sometimes the content isn't indexed by search engines. For your third question, again most people feel that in content links are better than those in a resource box, but most article directories don't allow you to insert links outside the bio box. Always post the best content to your own site. In the end the best content will get the best results. For building link wheels I would spin content or use PLR articles.

I think these previous threads will help you understand the true concept of article marketing better: Article on site or EZA first ? Article Writing & Syndication Explained? How do Article Directories work? Your article writing ISN'T working! This is why: |

You can post your articles on other directories and this way, some bunches of links will be gained and a temporary traffic boost too will be expected but as you can guess, the recommended approach would be trying to post your high quality contents on your own website, there is actually no difference in using the technique like installing a new blog on your site, uploading the pages via FTP tools. Presence of original content pages on your site can add to its values. It is logical to assume article directories are a bit weaker today than a few years ago when they were considered to be highly visited spots and by submitting a few articles to them, some tens of one-way links would be gained. Nowadays even if you write quality contents and submit them to a lot of directories, since the materials would be considered as duplicates and copies, so they might get de-indexed after a while and the links gained too could be weak from SEO aspects. |

Hi, Thanks so much everyone for getting back to me, though I am now a little more confused! lol With regards to articles being posted on my the site, the site in is an online auction type site - I do not know where on the site i can post these(i.e articles)? I am certain that there is not dedicated area for articles. Do i have to create a dedicated area for these if so please can you suggest where i should do it. Also how do i check that the articles are indexed? And also, for Rob1123 with regards to point 2, so do I just change the bio/Author text and keep the links the same, is that correct? Thanks again, its starting to get through! AnniePot those links are brilliant and will give me some good reading. |

Always try to pick some interesting and informative topic. Then search on google and try to learn as much as you can and finally write a article that covers entire info on short and informative way.
