The number of links on a page does not effect rank or PR of the page. What it does effect is the PR of the pages that are linked to. Visitor experience is another thing. Having thousands of links on one page is a bad user experience. You can't put lipstick on a pig. Putting a "quality" outbound link does nothing. Except to send people elsewhere. Paul |

From time to time and while adding contents to your website, you may like to refer to other useful materials and portals which you believe contain materials which can be truly useful to your net audience and visitors, naturally by linking to those sites, nothing wrong will happen to your website, neither of your PR nor SERPs will get affected by doing this. You can find thousands of forums and blogs which link to each other tens of times a day, still doing very well online. The real problem will arise when a certain website becomes like one of those link farms which contain hundreds or even thousands of outgoing links to low quality sites, coming in tons of niches and the portals do not contain anything useful to contribute to the web. It is even highly suggested to link to other authority sites when you are writing unique content pages and the outgoing links serve as guiding readers to other sites, this is done by many authors and bloggers constantly. |

Google trusts those who endorse trusted sites. Period. Think about it. |
