Hello, I was searching new keywords for my adsense sites and I found like a golden nugget to be honest. comp. is low, CPC is ok and traffic is over 10k exact local month searches. But this keywords seems a bit weird to me, so I'm asking is there some other online/free tool that I can use besides google KW tool, to see if this keyword is ACCURATE. Thanks... |

Its not 100% accurate! Check the search trend and see if the searches are going down every month or it is steady traffic this keyword gets every month.

| It's pretty steady, however I compared this result with Wordtracker and they are completely different :/ Almost 10x lower than google tool shows, but hell yeah, this was too unbelievable anyway..

Pretty much all keyword research tools use Google Adwords for their data. What aspect of the keyword seems "weird" to you? How are you determining that it has low competition? Remember that Google Adwords Keyword Tool does NOT tell you the competition to rank a particular keyword. It's the competition of bidders on that particular Adword. |

Google tells it's middle competition, and I know thats the competition of bidders, but I checked the first top 10 sites in google, and top 3 are youtube videos, so it SHOULD be low competition in my eyes..

Have you checked the keyword with Google Insights? You don't want to pick a keyword on a downward trend or a keyword that has a one off spike due to a particular event, eg: celebrity wedding, news event etc.

Google tools are based on google search only.Although others service providers seems to show less then google we can trust google on the keywords tool.

In my experience Traffic Travis does a piss poor job of determining KW competition. They seem to weight on page SEO factors way too heavily and miss lots of backlinks. That being said, I still use Traffic Travis, but also use SERPIQ, AHRefs, SEO Spyglass (sucks these days) Niche Finder (not free), and SEOmoz (not free). I also review the first page of Google by hand using SEOQuake, but don't rely on their backlink count. |
