Firstly, turn off IC, RDD and RDP. Secondly, theres quite a few aged domains there. Given that, and for such small search volume, Id say ..."keep looking" That is unless of course, your site is "aged" as well. |

I would look at that and think... no one is optimized but there are some high authority domains the site in position 2, is showing 0 backlinks - my guess would be an EMD - but you say no EMD's in top 10 so a fluke? probably likely to fall from that slot in future anyway two of the sites are showing a lot of backlinks and a few others have quite a few. So it depends on the keyword. If it is just for Adsense income - no. If it is for a profitable product, I would drill down and find a variation on the keyword that you can compete for much easier or I would move on. |

In my experience, an aged domain will rank purely for that reason alone, regardless of backlinks. Could it be trustrank?? Authority?? Quality of content??? ....who knows. |

I'd say unless you are pretty good at SEO or have a bit of money to drop on this, pass it up. I can almost guarantee that I would be able to get it top 10 but I am not sure how much higher it would go from there. I would also be spending a bit of time/money to get it there. Go for it if you think you can rank it, but only you know how much effort you are willing to put into that. |

1. Total monthly searches is too low 2. way too competitive for this low volume of searches 3. the CPC i will bet is only 1+ dollars if you check CONTEXTUAL tool in google adwords If this CPC was $2-$3 , and the EXACT LOCAL searches was 5000,10,000+, Yes I would go after this kw but for the low monthly volume you are talking about, I think you can find kws with much better return for your time If I find a kw with as low searches as this? it better have VERY VERY LOW competition, or I would not waste time backlinking or trying to rank |

Too many high PR webpages. Even if they are not optimized for this keyword, it would be better to look for competitors with lower PR. If you want to monetize it with AdSense it might be hard to make money, but if you are planning on building some affiliate site or Amazon it might be good. But there is also the matter of keyword itself. Is this keyword has enought commercial intent, or is it just purely informational? |

I agree with RollModl. It is not uncommon to outrank Wikipedia or Amazon pages. That depends almost entirely on the quality and anchor text of the competition's backlinks, not the PR (although it plays a role). I'd say if you have the means to generate some juice backlinks, go for it. If you are new you should look for something easier, otherwise you might get frustrated if it doesn't work fast enough. |

No one can say unless you provide the anchor text backlinks and the PR that they have. At a glance though, i would say that given the low search volume, it isn't worth your time. |
