Hi Friends, Looking for some basic info/help on directing traffic to my blog. I've been casually posting for over a year now, but would like to start trying to get more traffic and make a little money with it. I know to start posting in more forums (hence being here), but any other basic tricks would be greatly appreciated! Also, if anyone has suggestions on WHICH recipe/food/travel forums to use as a resource, please let me know. Thank you!! A |

It's not just posting random comments in niche forums. You need to be an authority on a sub-niche in the most popular high traffic recipe forum. Example, If your sub-niche is BBQ recipes, you need to create a new niche forum thread & dominate that recipe forum as the best forum thread for BBQ recipes. People on niche forums don't want to see random post, they want to see threads that offer real value, something they can use. Have a look at my example here (Adsense Reality Check - 5 years & Going Strong!), replace the subject (mountain bike maps) with your recipe sub-niche. |

Rather than depending on referral traffics, it is better to target search engines like Google, Yahoo, Bing to get more traffic to your website. Start on long tail keyword, spread your links with various anchor text and get links to your inner pages and etc... all these will bring you to top and you can enjoy FREE traffic from search engines then |
