Default Owner Footprint? Same backlinks to sites

Is it possible to be deindexed or penalised for having the same IP backlinks for multiple of your sites which are all being tracked by webmasters and analytics?

Should i try to diversify them to each site?

Eg. I have 5 sites, all using the same tactic; Social bookmarks / ALN etc. this means their backlinks will be almost exactly this same. is this fine?

ALN lets you have 3 links per blog post, if i choose each of the 3 links to be a different site of mine, this will mean they all will have the same IP backlinks, is this ok?

Thanks.

Owning all the same domains on the same hosting server with all the same seo strategy may be effective short term, but is not ideal.

I would get a VPS and have your domains on different servers (only if you have lots of domains).

I would vary your back linking and make no patterns. Create new web 2.0 accounts so they don't always come through the same account.

Same with bookmarking - use a tool like Bookmarking Demon

If all your sites are under the same Google Webmaster/Analytics account and all your sites are hosted on the same IP then all of your recurring backlinks are being devalued. You will be neither credited nor punished for this tactic but it is a waste of your time.

The only way to use the same backlink over and over again effectively is to host your sites on separate C Class IPs called SEO Hosting and either ditch Webmasters and Analytics or open up multiple accounts.

Thanks for the answers.

What about for dedicated IPs?

Right now i've got all my sites on one webmasters, one analytics and one reseller hosting but each one has a dedicated IP.

How do you think i should diversify?

Do you think i should move one site to my shared hosting and completely remove all websites from webmasters and analytics?

Do not remove completely from webmasters and analytics, it is enough to move them to different webmaster and analytics accounts.

Damn this is confusing me.

So i'm wasting my time making multiple sites under the same hosting?

I bought a dedicated IP for ea and thought it would fix it but apparently it won't because its not as good as Class C.

You are fine. Keep doing what you are doing. Do you know how many websites under shared hosting are on the same IP? Many times it is hundreds. Search it for yourself if you do not believe me. I'm sure you can find a common link pattern among a few.

You are not going to get hurt by this. Don't let people scare you into thinking you need a separate IP address for every single site you have. I know people with 50+ of their own sites under the same hosting package making a killing.

I would like to back this one up. Yes you can do the same backlinking strategy with all the sites since they are all different domain names. The value of the links will never devalue even if you are using the same IP address.
