I have a very old wordpress.com on a wordpress subdomain, I would like to move it to it's own .com, how would I do this without affecting it's ranking? Can it be done? Is it better to keep it hosted it wordpress.com or can I move it over to completely independent site just using the wordpress CMS? What is the best move option to keep the SEO intact? Thanks. |

Hi, It will definitely be a great long term decision to move the site to a proper domain. In order to keep the SEO intact, you will need to follow this: Site*Redirect — Support — WordPress.com Your rankings might jump around a bit for some time after the move, but if you continue to add quality content and build links you are building your own asset instead of something based on the wordpress.com domain. |
