Default Need help on meta-tags/keywords.

Hey all,

I recently changed my meta-tags/keywords for my sites, I'm going after less competitive markets.

Does anyone know how long it takes google to "register" new keywords into the SERPS or do I have to wait for the next PR update?

I currently can't find my sites under the new keywords.

Many thanks in advance!

You mean, how long will it takes Google to crawl your meta keywords? Well then, the answer is certainly never. =)

Why?

-It's because meta keywords serve no value to Google's index. And so, they just ignore it! No matter how many times you changed your meta keywords, it will still be the same.

If you are targeting a few new keyword then just adding them in Keywords tag would not work. You have to work for them Google will take a note of your keywords when it will index your page but you also should add them in your content, page title, description, heading. I mean at all important places. Also get some quality backlinks.

Well actually, even if you only have a single keyword, it'll still won't work for Google and even other search engines give no value to meta keywords.
