Yep! backlinks coming from spamming website can really hurt your ranking on search engine. For ranking well on search engine you need to get quality backlinks from high quality websites. It is difficult job to do but worth to do it.

Quality backlinks from high quality website result in giving you good link juice to rank well on search engine. Even single link can really help you but if your website have single link coming from spamming website can hurt you...

It also depends on the status of your website on Google because if getting links from spam-filled pages would ruin rankings of sites so fast, so all competitors would be demolishing each others' resources within a couple of days. In reality we can see that overall status of websites can definitely play big roles in here. For example, if your website already is powered by very strong links, loads of original contents and having fixed web ranks, even some links form such sites won't matter.

Google will examine the structures and status plus weights of domains in such cases when links from bad neighborhoods point at them and if they are considered to be authority net spots, probably nothing will happen to them, of course you are highly recommended to stay away from such linking patterns but as said, at the end, the way sites are observed by Google will matter. Naturally, newly launched sites without decent web ranks and strong links or great contents, will suffer a lot and their ranks could get destroyed if they acquire lots of such links.

No they can't harm you, maybe a little up and down and maybe those backlinks get disregarded in the end.

Because if you could harm our competition, i would be sufficient to pay 10 Fiverr gigs and bring them down.

Many people will give you different opinions on the matter, and really it's hard to tell whether spammy links still count or not. What I will say, is a couple links from authority sites will absolutely do a lot more for you. Just contact some webmasters and ask if you can guest post or something, and that link will be golden

In the case of automatic systems, NO spammy backlinks won't harm you. Google now is able to automatically disregard many of them.

If your backlink profile is full of spam, you are vulnerable to manual spam actions from HUMAN Google employees. (.ie. the webspam team) Especially so, if your keywords are high traffic.

Yep they certainly can harm your ranking if your site has no authority. It's especially risky pointing them directly to your money site - if you're going this route make sure it's justified. If you're using them on a new site then use them to backlink your backlinks. The links are spammy but if you use them properly they're useful.

Getting a reasonable number of backlinks from a heavily spammed page will not harm your search engine rankings. If, however, your website is new and you get a very large number of backlinks, especially without varying anchor text, you open yourself up to manual/algorithmic penalties.

Hmm done some research and what i have got from researching allover internet is that if you have quality content than spammy links can`t harm but if you have got a few pages and bundles off spam that`s a big problem for sure

Normally such claims of making quick + quality links at very cheap price, are based on false. Such link builder or company cheat you. They are software generated links or if they are manual, then don't think their existence more than one month. In my case, many time i lost my backlinks only in one week.
Investing some your own time to create quality links. It will take some time but will be very supportive in your rankings.

I think backlinks of any kind cannot hurt your site. What can make your site penalized or even de-indexed is what you do on the page itself, onpage-wise... For example, if you are linking out to spammy sites from your own site, this could make your site de-indexed in the SERPs.

But as for backlinks, I don't really think they can do any harm to you or your site, Speedy
