With google, I've experience the google dance many times, but whenever I searched key terms direct from my computer they've always been on the first page because google knows I've been there and go to my own sites. But about 2 days ago, those went away although I didn't notice until last night. I am still indexed, although much lower than before, but I've never had google remove my elevated local search results before. Am I being punished or is google getting ready to give me a big SERP boost? |

Something changed DEFINITELY the last 4-5 days in Google. And still changing, since i see the websites in the first page of my keywords to come and go, up and down. I think we need to wait 1-2 weeks. |

May google is telling you to stop visiting your site through their search, instead type it directly on your browser address bar. Or, your ISP had altered location settings, leading you to see unlikely results. We once had a scenario like this one. Manual checking proves that our site is listed first page, but for a month it went off. Then I noticed the location in Google (see left side pane after you typed a query and enter) changed. ex. from California to Washington. It went back when the previous location was reinstated. |

I don't check my ranking or access my sites through google search very much, that is why it took a few days to realize it was no longer on the first page when I did my own search. I do access my sites many times a day, but that is direct and for backlinking purposes, etc. My sites are not sales sites, so location should be irrelevant. With webmaster tools impressions falling 90%, it can't just be my local browser results that this is happening to. It is also not happening to one of my more established sites. | |

Yeah - I've been going up and down for a major KW the last two weeks - I'm waiting it out and keep on backlinking.
