WordPress Theme For Static Website?

Which theme do you guys recommend for building a static WordPress website?

Or do you just take a normal blog theme and edit it into a static site?

I am not quite sure what you are asking here exactly, but I think you want a static homepage on your wordpress blog, in other words you don't want the recent posts showing on the homepage, etc.?

If that is the case, any theme will work. Just go into your wordpress admin panel, create a new page that you want to be the homepage, make the content and layout how ever you want and then go into Settings > Reading and select "a static page" and then choose the page you just created in the drop down menu.

Now refresh your blog and you will have a static page on the hp.
