I am creating a website for a client who deals with web development/design. Is it a good idea to rank the domain for multiple keywords in similar niche or create separate pages for each keyword and rank each page? |

Rank the homepage for the most difficult keyword, rank inner pages for everything else.

Do both. But I would strongly suggest to prioritize pages that users are looking for. What I mean is, make pages that will give users what they need directly. Since that is a web design/development website, rank pages that will meet the searchers needs. For example, users will probably not looking for the "homepage" if they are looking for a web design services. So, do both and anticipate what keywords the users will type in the query and make a specific page for it. And work to have a good ranking for those pages. |
