I don't know if this tip has been shared here before. I'm still new to this forum. But please don't blast it to everyone. On some of my blogs I use this as an SEO strategy. It has worked great especially since Google's PANDA update... And even better these past few months. Google is always looking for timely and fresh information and so are your readers. If you are offering marketing advice, people want to make sure it is up to date. So: Step 1. Look through your website for old articles, posts, or static information that is still relevant for today. Step 2. Choose 3 or 4 of those pages and update a few sentences. Step 3. Change the date of the post to current Step 4. Write at the end of the post "updated January 19, 2012 Step 5. If you are really ambitious Add dates to your post titles i.e. Best Wordpress tools to use in January 2012 Then, update that page monthy.... with the above steps (Just make sure the word january is not in the link... use this month You will be surprised at how quickly your pages move up the search engine and even more shocked at how many of your followers will take your content more seriously. Do not use the "today's date javascript" as a shortcut because Google will just ignore it. Please do not share this with too many people I'm in the middle of a 6 month case study... But feel fee to try this and let me know how it's working for you. |

Cool advice, but seriously... if you wanted to keep it a secret, why would you post it on a public forum?
