In keyword research, check your competitors site and check what keywords they are ranking..Also check where do they get their backlinks and if it is quality and do follow or not..And use Google Adword Keyword Tool to get keyword suggestions that you can use to your website..

Here are steps in keyword research 1. Keyword ideas and research - find ideas and build a list of keyword 2. Keyword analysis - sort your list of keywords, analyze them based on different criteria (profitability, commercial intent, topic, traffic) 3. Competition analysis - analyze your competition in SERP to identify keywords with the lowest, for easy ranking 4. Content "design" - based on your main keyword for your article find relevant keywords, you can use different methods but most are using LSI. Additionally repeat your main keyword in your content (But don't overdo it) both in exact match, and phrase match (meaning: if your keyword is "dog training" in content use few times "dog training" and also "dog" and "training" seperated by other words. Recently I posted a thread with 40+ methods to find good keyword ideas, you can check it here: 40+ FREE methods to find the best keyword ideas for keyword research |

Check for profitability, popularity, relevance and competition to decide the most appropriate keywords for your website. As a beginner I started with Google Adwords tool but with growing competitiveness, I realized I need to undergo thorough research which is why I shifted to Keyword Country. It not just helps me to research profitable keywords (including misspellings, LSI, synonyms etc) but also lets mix, match and modify competitor's high impact pages and build my own within minutes. |

Selection of the right keywords can be so important that it is even suggested to pick the right terms before registering a domain name because without knowing what subjects, niches and keywords are to target, websites will not have any chances of succeeding online. There are good free and paid keyword suggestion tools to use and they will tell you what terms are hot and which ones are not and based on your knowledge and interests, you will be able to select them. Then, the contents will arrive on the scene because your website naturally will need some original, fresh and unique contents. Through studying articles published online and even reading books that directly are related to your web interests, you will be able to write content pages, using your own skills or you may get in touch with copywriters who offer original materials to the interested admins. Stay away from using copied or duplicate materials and always look for original works. |
