Arrow I've Tried EVERYTHING. Need Help. How can I make a "Sticky Post" In Wordpress? (Giving Thanks)

Tried 10+ Plugins, nothing will work. Can't even hack the post date to get it to work.. Anyone out there who can help me? Using Wordpress. 3.2.1 Trying to get 10 posts to stay at the top of the main page, and 1 post per category stuck on the category page. My theme is pretty simple, not using more than 4 plug-ins, nothing fancy, but can't figure it out..

Really would appreciate anyone who can offer advice, thanks will be given.

Hi,

I think that the post from Spencer on nichepursuits.com written the 28 november ( How to Create a Static Homepage with WordPress ) may help you.

Go to the list of posts on your blog..choose the post you want to make sticky .. select quick edit and on the right hand side is the option "Make this post sticky"

You can also create your post as a "page" and go into the Reading settings and where it mentions Front Page, select the title of your page and save it. This will allow it to be the only page on the front, whereas a sticky post will still have at least one post under it (or more, depending on your settings).

You don't need a plugin, WP has it build in.
See instructions on this WP page: Post*Visibility — Support — WordPress.com
