Default When is a niche too small?

Hi!

Im a newbie info marketer and my goal is to make 10k/month.

I wonder if there is a way to tell if a niche is too small to reach my goal and not worth getting into it.

For example the CPC prices or search volume.
Can you tell instantly that a market is too small by these numbers?

How much CPC or search volume or even competition are you looking for?

thanks!

Its difficult to say really as there are many factors but I will try give an outline from what I work on.

I think a niche is to small if:

- Searches per month are less than <500 (some say 1 k+) but i find 500 can work for super-micro niche sites. Keep in mind this is only worth it if you deem the CPC worth your time and how hard the niche is to rank vs others.

- CPC is less than $0.20 when the search per month is < 1k is a no go area for me, even if its a gurentee first page. You could spend to much time getting it ranked for small returns when you could spend that time on a higher earner.

But on a side note, its worth mentioning if you are affiliated with a super specific niche item, even if the search per month is only 50 and it would probably still be worth it if there was a high payout per sale. These websites get specific traffic making conversions better.

Hope this helps without contradicting my self to much ! This is a very difficult one to answer.

I would say anything lower then 800 searches globally per month will be a wrong choice. and regarding CPC you must aim at least 0.2$ with at least 30000 search volume else you wont be getting anything out of it.
