Default When It Comes to Youtube...Have You Guys Ever...

I like to hear from one person that has gone through the experience of putting up tons of informational videos...and when I say tons, I mean hundreds - perhaps a few thousand videos.

Let me start with this. A couple of years ago, me and a person that I worked with talked over lunch about the theory of building a mega site that was pure informational. I said that the more pages that my writers put out, the more money I was going to make. Of course, each page was 600 to 800 words, properly optimized, and actually not a whole lot of backlinks pointing back. I told him that I would make pretty good money with just adsense alone.

A couple years later - I was correct. It brought in decent money and the more pages I put up - the more money I made. However, this was a pretty slow process. But I loved testing things out.

The next project I will be testing is this. Personally, I know a lot about different things. The phrase "Jack of all trades, Master of None" would fit me. The other day, I filmed myself talking about five various subjects. The videos took me three to four minutes each. (Maybe I have a gift of gab or something - don't know).

I wish I had a lot of time - because I could put up a lot of videos that are monetized. I have a full time job, taking classes and have a family, so I don't have all day to create tons of videos and upload them to Youtube.

What I am wondering is there anyone out there that has put up hundreds - maybe thousands of videos - and then monetized them (perhaps become YT partners) - have made a decent income?

If someone could prove to me that more videos that are uploaded (and not crap videos - but informative), the more traffic = more revenue. Just wondering if someone is out there that is making tons of videos and seeing great results.

If you're going to do this you should do the same sort of keyword research you would do for an adsense site and focus on better paying keywords. We have a couple hundred videos that get food-related traffic but most of it is not buying traffic -- it's more along the lines of "how to chop an onion." These videos don't make a lot with AdSense.

My brother has a Youtube/Adsense channel that includes 300+ videos, with almost 1.5 million total video views in less than a year. He does ok money wise (I'm not saying how much).

His income does go up, but it doesn't happen instantly, it's more like his income goes up in increments every couple of weeks.

What we did is setup a parked domain, then brand that domain inside the YT video intros. This way he has the opportunity to monetize the external site in the future with whatever he wants. Currently he is monetizing the YT videos with only Adsense. You need to plan ahead with YT traffic, since the videos will be getting traffic years after you upload them to YT.

BTW, he does zero keyword research & only the basic YT seo (title, description, tags), & still has 1.5 million video views.
