Default Can someone explain why traffic travis and google keyword tool give massively contrasting results?

I don't get it.

I've got 5000 local search result keywords coming up as HIGH competition on google and "relatively easy" on Traffic Travis". Who do you guys go with?

I don't trust google's keyword numbers at all.

I'd go with TT.

I have tried several keyword tools and have been disappointed In most of them. The only one I have ever had any luck with Is Brad Callens Niche Finder. It's so easy to use, and the statistics It provides are very accurate.

I am not affiliated with Brad Callen In any way, I am just giving my honest review of Niche Finder. It's an awesome keyword tool and In my opinion Is the best out there.

I have had Market Samurai for about a year, but since getting Niche Finder, I don't even use Market Samurai anymore.

We use traffic Travis simply for Determining the Ability to rank for a keyword or phrase and nothing more.

The google Keyword tool is for locating good High Volume search terms IMHO. It and the Google search box are all we use to determine the value of a keyword or phrase...

Between the 2 of them you will get a really good idea what too do... Thats the process we use..

Hope that Helps...
To your continued Success,
Robert

The Google Keyword Tool only gives you the competition among AdWords advertisers. It has NOTHING to do with the level of SEO competition.

The competition aspect of the Google keyword tool refers to the number o fadword advertisers bidding on that keywords. It is not designed to indicate the difficulty of ranking in the serps for that phrase. It TT considers it easy to rank for and there are a lot of people paying to advertise for it----- sounds like a winner.
