Add blog to website?

Should I be attaching a blog page to all my websites?

For example.. every website I own should I attach a mysite/blog onto every one of them, and then fill it with panda compliant content regularly?

Hi adammaxum,

Google doesn't rank websites, they rank individual web pages. You do need to promote your web pages and blogging is one of the many excellent ways to do that.

Having said that, the blog doesn't need to be on your website. Put it there if it makes sense to for the benefit of users. However, starting a blog on a separate website is just as effective, as long as you link it the same way. You can even use Web 2.0 properties for your blog, and you can have multiple blogs if it makes sense to do it that way.

Adammaxum, personally I would put "panda compliant content" into the basic web structure. Especially if it's features type of articles. Why put it in a blog format section when it can be put into the main body of the website itself?

I also find having several regular off-site blogs that I update with normal everyday life stuff handy. Every so often I will use them to mention my cash flow sites along with other sites I really did find interesting and blog about them. Makes for a natural backlink.

Yes you can do that. Though its not really necessary, it can be quite beneficial in the long run to rank with certain keywords for your website. Make sure you update daily with quality content.

It's not necessary but it's up to, this couldn't hurt but it won't help you in ranking since Google is ranking pages and not the whole websites.

Adding a blog to every site is not mandatory. It is optional. You can add more information and post information relevant to your site on blog. It also helps you in SEO, you can link back to your site from the content you have on your blog.

my point is blog is not an important aspects, in google. once we make a blog for the respective website, it will be increase the density of the website, i mean the momentum of the website is to constantly, Blogging is one of the white hat seo technique, you will be make a perfect content in a blog. its plays a huge role in google ranking. Finally what iam saying is blog is an optional, but its an powerful & efficient manner to implement our information.

I think you can. But try to regular post with unique and valuable contents. Instead of promoting just your suggested keywords in all posts try to provide interesting contents. It could be time consuming to get the benefits but I think a very good practice also for getting quality traffic.

Having a blog page works great for business websites since they have static homepage content. That makes the site updated with fresh contents.
