When Google scans my Landing Page...What Happens??

I am really new to PPC and Affiliate Mtg and I am not even getting my ad shown on the search network. I have looked around for help all over this forum and done what ever the tips have said to do.
It seems that the best way to pick relevant keywords that Google likes is to use the Adwords Tools, and go to the "Search Based Keyword Tool"

Now, here is where I run into problems...If I am direct linking then I would drop my affiliate URL in there right??? When I do that, (with HydraNetwork), it doesnt matter what Affiliate URL from Hydra I put in there, Goolge always pulls up the same keywords that have absolutly nothing to do with the offer or landing page??

What is going on?
There is a yellow ! sign that says that the site is not associated with my adwords account, and then gives words pulled out of some skin care site.
