Google Serp vs Google Shopping Ranks

So most of the product I build links on are getting in the top 3 positions on google serps. I also want to get our google shopping products to remain on the first page and even better the top 3. It seems that when I originally add a new product and update our feed it ranks in the first 3 but after a few updates with more products etc on our feed, the rank of the google shopping items drop. Our bounce rate is around 2% and we use google checkout. Has anyone found a way to keep google shopping ranks high? How often do you update your feed?
