I like this forum... you guys respond. The other forums do not. I was asked to get more traffic to this site: Pierce County Electronic Monitoring Electronic Monitoring Supervision | BI Incorporated Last month they got 24 visits, yes only 24. There wasn't any form of seo. They have 10 in bound links, yep 10. I'm certain I can easily fix that. but there main term "electronic monitoring" only has 1600 monthly searches. That sucks. Even if I get them to page one there are not going to see any traffic. I am getting a writer to write an article on what is house arrest. That has a search of 60k. That will give me something to get traffic for. My question is: Does anyone have any ideas for other articles or ways to get traffic to this site. I am going to set up an adsense campaign and a facebook campaign, but I don't feel that is the way to go for this site. I've never worked on a niche this damn small. |

Hi, My idea is creating landing pages in your site. You create these pages by covering topics relevant to your site. Make these pages small with interesting topics. And then add relevant images to these pages. Probably you can add more info graphics. Make use of the alt tags for images. And place a section on these articles to update your main content or quote form or your latest updates. So that all these landing pages will have your main topic, Make it as more pleasant for the users. Finally give proper internal navigation to these articles. This will make the users to spend some more time within your site.Thanks. |

Ya, SEO would be good. Target many small easy low search volume keywords and add them up, you have a steady flow of traffic.

Use the available free keyword tools from Google and Wordtracker and input your main keyword into the search, in your case, it's electronic monitoring. Now check to see what other suggestions pop up that includes your main keyword - you'll see that several should pop up. This should increase your research results beyond the 1600 monthly that you currently see. Then, look through what products/services the company offers. Specific ones. Now look for more keywords that can draw in attention. Write articles using the new keywords, etc. The good news is that if the traffic is low on all of them, then you can actually rank for it rather quickly, which is great! Best of luck! |

I am great at SEO, been doing it for many years. As for seo I have the site ranking on page 1 in the number 2 spot for there main keyword. Issue is there are only 1600 global monthly searches for that keyword. So... no matter how good your seo is you will never get any traffic for a term like that. Was looking for ideas on content like the RAM07 said. Thanks RAM07, that is why I am having there author write some articles on house arrest. It has 60k monthly searches. Was hoping someone would have a new idea, but at least you agree with mine. |

| SEO would be great to increase their reach, especially if they're at such a low level. Ranking them for a term that gets 200 searches a month would be a vast improvement. Especially noticed by them if it's a local term. |

You need to do some careful keyword research and actually analyse your competition before you start just looking at traffic levels and thinking you will get on page one What is wrong with 1600 monthly visits? Get your page to number one and write a captivating meta description and you are bound to see AT LEAST 50% of this traffic. That's 800 monthly visitors. That's OVER 33 TIMES more traffic than you are getting right now. Then what if you get to number one for 10 more keywords averaging 1600 exact monthly searchers? Thats over 8,000 visitors per month! If these are well thought-out keywords with high buyer intent and well written sales pages imagine what you can do with that traffic. Throwing it out there and suggesting you get a measly 1% conversion rate on affiliate products or something, thats 80 sales per month. If each sale gets you $50 commission that's $4K per month minimum. But it all comes down to your KEYWORD RESEARCH, and your SEO CAMPAIGN. Contact me if you want more info, hope this helps. ~Dave |
