Given you have had to rely on other methods exactly what do you use for rank track data these days ? / multiple keys ?

The only thing that is really "broken" is the rank tracker module and if you have a few bucks to spare you can pick up something like Magic rank tracker for pennies.

There is no need to start attacking what people are saying and more or less calling them a liar!

Its broken! Stuff happens, get over it and find an alternative tool or do it by hand

If you read their blog post carefully, they are basically trying to soften up their user base for the coming hard landing: $99/month subscription for their most popular services.

Outwest seems to think the changes are minor glitches, but NobleSamurai's own blog post basically TELLS us how badly broken it is:

As large portions of Market Samurai currently use Google’s service, this has temporarily broken a range of functionality in Market Samurai (and related products, including modules from Domain Samurai and Article Samurai – although the core syndication functionality in Article Samurai is unaffected).

then they mention having to buy the data, and that other people who use this same data, like Raven tools, charge $99/month. Then they talk about what they're going to have to charge going forward:

So, we’re left with the difficult decision of having to pass this costs on to our users in some fashion (most likely a monthly paid service).

Please know, if you’re an existing Market Samurai buyer we’ll try to keep this cost as low as possible. Potentially we will even try to offer a free level of service for a small number of keywords.

Unfortunately, this change will take a while to implement, at least several weeks.

And then they do something only a truly desperate company would do - they refer all of their users to a competitor (Raven) and suggest that everyone sign up for a free trial! LOL

Now me, I'm not upset at the NobleSamurai guys. I love their tool because it made everything, from Keyword Research (I'm looking at you, Outwest) to Rank Tracking so much faster and easier. A great all-in-one tool. It looks like those days are over. If I'm going to have to start paying monthly fees just to track SERP rank, I'm going to look at all the other tools again. I rarely pay monthly fees for anything, so it will be interesting to see how all this shakes out.

Also, read the comments on their blog post - some people have multiple campaigns with thousands of keywords, and they are being told that this functionality will be duplicated in a future release several months out.

So yeah, things change. Adjust, move on. OR - if you aren't a MS power-user, just stay with 'em. To each, his own...

After reading the blog post, this is the only conclusion that can be reached.

For many companies, a blog post like this could cause 'a run on the bank' as refund requests accumulate too quickly.

It is interesting to read the blog post and then see people (shills?) come in and thank the company for the hard work they're doing.

For the record, I have never bought the program and don't have anything against the company either. But read it with a realistic view point and ask yourself how many people will be happy the bought a program that no longer works.

You could try Traffic Travis. However you would need to purchase proxies to avoid being blocked by Google if you do a lot of searches using TTV4.

Do not blame Market Samurai. It was another Google update recently and they are trying to take care of the mess it brought. I am not sure if you can get better results now with other tools. It is Google update and most of those tools are based on Google data.

I can't seem to find a link anywhere to get a refund for Market Samurai. And they don't seem to be answering support tickets right now either.

Are there any Market Samurai users out there that can help me find the yellow brick road?

I thought the price was VERY reasonable for what Market Samurai "used" to do. But now that most of the results are coming from Bing, that won't help me much when trying to compete in Google.

John they will get back to you, they always do, I had an email telling me they were backlogged today, not sure about MS yet but probably do not throw the baby out with the bath water seems to be the term I'd use for now.

At the moment it is still usable, I agree about the bing crap I do not like it as well and just maybe they may change this back, from what i can see they use it for more general stats but I may be wrong, just a bit confused about what darn change they are making today.

I got that same email today too about how backed up their support system is. But it's been 4 days since I have heard from anyone.

Just submitted another "refund request" support ticket. Maybe that will get some attention.

I just got a refund today. It took them about a week. They will get to it.

Hopefully in the future they will be back on board with Google because I don't see the universe switching to Bing anytime soon.

Until then I might try Long Tail Pro. What is everyone else using these days?
