So I am used to having a website with my own domain running wordpress. I'd have awesome plugins to submit my sitemaps to the big 3 automatically,. but now im on a free blogspot blog [because of funds] & im trying to SEO it. What's the best way to SEO a free blogspot site? |

There are a few other options other than sitemaps ... since its a blog you have the opportunity to ping the search engines ... wordpress does this automatically which is why it is THE most search engine friendly content management system. With blogger/blospot you need to do this manually ... although once you enter your data in once you could just bookmark the page and it will re-ping the search engines. Do a Google search for ping search engines ... or you could use my personal favorite ping-o-matic. I am not sure what your "funds" issue is but wordpress just requires a domain ($10) and hosting ($5/month +/- depending on what you want/need). Free wordpress templates are plentiful and with a little time and effort you can make them look unique. For all the benefits a wordpress site gives you I wouldnt even bother with blogspot. Surely you can come up with $70 per year ... |
