Just wondering if anyone has any experience adding a discussion forum now that Panda is in place? I'm prepared to create one for my website and to do the work to moderate etc., but not sure I'll get the serp juice for it - are postings seen as relevant content or just a bunch of chatter by Google? Thoughts? |

Forums in general are hard to get started. I mean to have posts and threads. This is the hardest of all. Moderation is easy on modern forum apps, unless you run a BIG one like Warriors for example. Also depending on the niche, forums may have been partly replaced by ... yes you guess it well ... Facebook crap. Anyway, if you manage to get a forum running and populated if sure adds huge self created content that last forever. good luck |

Thanks! Currently I get a lot of questions through my blog, my guess (hope) is that people register and post on a forum as well. I'm in a niche where people have a lot of questions generally. I suppose I could always kill the forum if it is not working out - just a part of my website

Forums have a lot of repeated topics, which allegedly is no longer liked by Google. There's no way around it. The same subjects keep on coming up in niches.
