Default Something I noticed about your own site's PR

This is probably not news to many of you, but something I noticed in the WF is many people claiming that your own site's PR is not important for anything more than prestige or sales value.

I did notice, however, that when I linked to one of my internal pages from the main page, that internal page shot up in the SERPs for the anchor text keyword. Now this makes sense if you think that Google ranks pages, not domains, so any page linking in to another is good, even if it's on your own site.

I wonder, though, if there is some kind of reduction in the link juice that passes through the pages on your own site.
