Regardless of the thumbs up / reviews that people give on Fiverr for backlinks, you really have to do your own testing and see if their backlinks affect your site in a positive way.

fiver backlinks from my direct experience are generally crap. I found one good provider out of the dozen or so that I used. But let me emphasize, its not fiverr, its the user and their services. You find the same anywhere you go.

Make sure you purchase from reputable members on Fiverr, thats the most important thing.

It really varies from person to person. Some backlinks are poor quality and they are just not worth it, whereas others are great. Like others have mentioned, you would be best off reading the reviews different service providers have gotten and gauging whether their services are worth the cost or not. Best of luck!

I can't imagine expecting to get solid backlinks for five bucks. You get what you pay for, and, in this case, you'll be getting cheap, low-quality links (with the possible rare exception).

I will strongly recommend that you look at the NEGATIVE reviews of the popular sellers' gigs. Most of the popular seller have a couple of negative reviews amongst the thousands of positive reviews, so make sure you click on the "more" button at the bottom to see more comments until u see the negative ones.

The negative reviews tends to reveal the real flaw in their service.

Well, if the seller has completely ZERO negative review, or at least a 100% positive rate (say 3500 positive, 4 negative), I think it is worth a shot.

I second the above post, of course you should look at the negative reviews, and even positive reviews which are elaborate, such as "this increased my SERP position" etc, rather than the reviews saying "good report, fast service etc".

Just like in the WSO section here, the vast majority of people leaving positive "reviews" are not really talking about end results. They're talking about the experience (purchase, communication, getting the work done that was advertized). If the question is whether the backlinks actually helped move the target page up in the rankings or bring extra traffic, good luck finding that out. Very few people give up a good source to their competition that way.

Yes. Maybe you will get 5000 backlinks instead of the 7000 advertised for example, but overall I am happy with fiverr services.

I've had some bad experience with the gig that had about 100 positive reviews. It promised to deliver links from manual blog commenting and specifically stated that these links would be good for SEO. When he sent me the results, these comments were all one liners made on DISQUS sites (i.e. shown by Javascript).

I can't understand WHO these idiots were that left positive feedback for this gig.

Fiverr services are cheap by nature, but even low quality links have their place. As the others have suggested, you will want to see the reviews in any case.

I used fiverr back links as an experiment. I have bought about 10 gigs for one website from different people. All of the people who sell backlinks that I bought from were 'top rated' sellers with great reviews. Most of them even sent me a packet with a report of where the links were. Most of the time I was able to verify that they put a backlink where they said.

That being said... It has been weeks and I have not seen any tool that will show me that a SINGLE link that has been built has been indexed.

On the other hand I have paid for quality links through BMR and been able to rank a website from nothing to 600-1000 search engine visitors a day in less than a month.

I know "you get what you pay for", but I was looking for alternative methods and additional backlinking tools. So far, fiverr has been a failure for me.

Many people think that these 5-7k worth of backlinks are helping. People believe that the is a ton of value found from that. Will they help you rank further, maybe. In reality though most people think that a few fiverr gigs and a ton of backlinks will solve all of their SEO needs. It doesn't

I liken it to social media. You can buy or even get 10k worth of "free" fans, followers, etc. The question becomes why do you want them? If you think that they are all going to buy from you, then you are going to be sadly mistaken. If you are trying to make it seem that you have a ton of fans, that might make sense.

I have used a fiverr gig as a way to boost my backlinks. The fact that many of the links will end up defunct is automatically assumed. While I wpuld not rely on fiverr as an SEO strategy, it does have it's uses.

There are quality links you can get on fiverr, you just have to look and know what you're doing.

The problem is most people have their expectations too high. They purchase a gig for a whopping $5, see no results, then discount the MARKETPLACE as a whole. To me, that's incredibly close minded.

The fiverr market represents an incredible opportunity for webmasters to come together and trade services for what amounts to the equivalent of a mcdonalds happymeal. I've gotten many contextual links on highly relevant sites for what would have cost me a whole lot more in 2008, if you can't see the value in that then you're doing it wrong.

The flaw in your experiment is this. You shouldn't be measuring the results by links indexed, you should be measuring it in SERP increases and/or traffic. These are the only two factors of importance. Finding your indexed backlinks is not an exqct science, just a rule of thumb at best and judging a link experiment on it makes for a flawed foundation.

Really varies. I've used fiverr for a variety of things. But 20000 link gigs are probably using very old AA lists and will never show up or help.

On the other hand, some people like me offer gigs simply cause we have expensive software and know what we're doing and can set it to run over night and give quality back links that really show up, stick, and do help with SERPS.

It's 5 dollars, so you're going to get something that someone can set up in a few minutes.

There have been case studies on Warrior forum where people reported getting their sites ranked just using services from fiverr. This goes on to prove you can achieve good results provided you know what you are doing.

Another person might not achieve the same results because he or she doesn't have a proper plan or they don't know much about SEO or backlinks. It could be that their site sucks or their onpage SEO is non-existent or they are going after too competitive keywords. Another reason why someone may fail to achieve good results is that he or she may not be diversifying their link building portfolio. In addition to this, you also need to monitor rankings and see which kind of links have the most effect.

So, it is not just important to see customer reviews of the service provider on fiverr. Equally important is that you know what kind of services to buy and plan it out - like one week you will do article and blog submissions, next week - social bookmarking, then wiki + edu + gov links, following week for press releases and link wheels etc.

If you fail to achieve good results after buying gigs from reputed sellers, then it might have to do more with your own planning and SEO knowledge than the service provided on fiverr. You need to have certain level of SEO knowledge in order to decide which service to buy.

I've had bad experiences on fiverr but I guess it's also relative on the service provider.

Once I ordered for a senuke blast and the gig offered three different url links there's me thinking that he'll be submitting three different articles but instead he used all three links in completely different niches on one article.

Another bad experience the gig offered, to write a unique article and then make submissions. I sent my keyword and url "reading interventions" he wrote an article on "addiction interventions" and made submissions.

I was really pissed off and it's not just because it's a fiverr.

I actually believe these played a good part in my adsense account being disabled.

Working now on getting a new adsense account because I was doing so well before this.

Personally, I would not buy backlinks from anywhere and send them directly to my site. Unless I specifically know where they are coming from or how they are getting the links, I'm a little leery. If you are buying links and having them sent to a Tier 2 site, thats probably fine I would think.

I personally used fiverr to get some back links recently and I wasn't really impressed because they were not quality back links. It is a true statement " that you get what you pay for." Not to say that they are all like that....just saying from my own personal experience

While ordering Gigs from fiverr, you need concentrate on the quality not quantity.

even 1 quality backlink is better than 5000 backlinks. So it all depends on you.

after they age a year, On my resort, I think 200 extra links from 200 different domains and different IPs are very valuable

you are getting a few hundred in my case, social bookmark links, all from different IPs, all from different domains. TO ME THATS WELL WORTH FIVE BUCKS

You want lots of high PR backlinks, be prepared to pay 60 bucks a month on BuildMyRank or some other place, and submit lots of articles etc

I think you are being overly critical of Fiverr. There are some awesome gigs for video creation and translations and voiceovers etc.

For link building, a lot of people highly recommend Buildmyrank network. I have seen gigs where they are posting 4-5 articles on Buildmyrank network for just 5 bucks. They are going to write and submit using their BMR accounts. What more do you need? If you think BMR is good for getting high quality links, then it is worth a shot to try such gigs.

Fiverr might set a bad precedent in your mind if you aren't careful. Thinking, "Oh, it's no big deal I got ripped off because it's only $5 bucks." If you keep thinking that 20 times, now you're out $100.

IM is still a business. That means you have to control your expenses. $5 is still a waste of money if you don't get the results you want. If the $5 helps you achieve your business goals, then keep on doing it!

I purchase gigs from top rated sellers. Most of these gigs need many days to complete the order. But quality is acceptable for $5.
