I am not going to start putting articles for several weeks but I dont want to just let the domain sit, rather let google find it , thats called aging. Its a very unusual niche I have not worked in, so it will take me a while to get it up and start posting articles etc, actually might not even do that, just will try to make it an authority site, so takes while to plan the layout etc

Just curious outwest... In other threads you are usually one of the first people to jump in and say that the age of a site does not matter. So what benefit do you think you are getting by "ageing" this site for several weeks or months? And if age does play a factor, I doubt the difference between a new domain and a domain that is 2 months old is significant at all. It would be the difference between being ranked 500th and 499th. |

Google views older domains as more reliable / credible. This means older domains may have a slight advantage over newly established one. But this is only true if the older domain has a good reputation (e.g., it hasn’t been blacklisted, penalized, etc)
