Google rolled out their “Search Plus Your World” update about two weeks ago. “Search Plus Your World” is a display and algorithm update that gives users more "social" results when signed in to their Google accounts (Gmail, Google+). Some people love it and some people hate it. What do you think? SEO and online marketing experts are voicing privacy and antitrust concerns because Google is using it's search dominance to promote their Google+ social network past Facebook and Twitter. Most people that are against it say that they don’t want their search results diluted with social content. I understand that Google wants me to use Google+ instead of Facebook for social sharing, but I use Google to get the most relevant results and this new update gets in the way of that. Google’s recent update goes against their stance on providing the most relevant search results possible. Google may be running the risk of losing some users because they are watering down their search product. I was just curious if anyone had any "love" or "hate" opinions about this new Google update. What impact do you think this will have on the search industry? |

I HATE what they've been doing lately. I now use one browser to check my adsense and then clear everything and then do everything else with another browser. More and more I feel like I'm being watched and tracked and I don't like it one bit. I do worry how it'll affect my adsense earnings.
