Hey guys, lets say all my backlinks were built to "domain.com" but my actual domain uses "www.domain.com" and I put a redirect (so that traffic from domain.com goes to www.domain.com), will i keep the PR juice from domain.com? or will Google simply not count it towards my domain? I heard google considers them differently so i wasn't sure if putting the redirect will solve my backlink problem (I honestly don't remember if i used www.domain.com or domain.com for a lot of the links i built lol) any advice is appreciated! |

The PR juice of domain.com and www.domain.com is always the same. However, it is always better to use one or the other, not both. |

If you put a 302 (temporary) redirect, I think the PR would not be passed. If you make it a 301 (permanent) redirect, then the PR will get passed, no problem.

should be no problem. there is a slight degradation of link juice in every 301 encountered also, it would be good practice to use a canonical tag |
