Few months ago I read that google likes when you update your wordpress blog homepage which is quite logical. I have one micro niche site, it has 2 articles on the main page. One is 1200 words long, the other one is ~600 words long. So I tried this tehnique, every once in a week I completely changed the article no.2 (with 600 words long). It's not important article for my website and this was OK to rewrite it completely. I re-writed the whole article and set the keyword density to the same as it was before. After one month My site climbed from #4th to 1 without any additional backlinks. Is it possible that my site climbed from #4 to #1 only because of that? |

I guess Google counted it as new content being added regularly and so promoted your site upwards. Google loves new and fresh content and any site which has that gets a thumbs up from the big G.
