Need Help With Traffic...Question. Please Help!

I have been setting up websites and seeking traffic by the book. I have gotten three approvals from ezine articles and Go articles with links back to my website. This was over a month ago. I have a decent Squidoo page with links to my site. I do not see any links to my site. What is wrong? How long does it take to see links...Please help!!

Looks like you have little experience concerning building back links and getting a lot of traffic to your site.

You will need to learn how to build back links to your site and probably exploit some of the free ways to do that such as article marketing, blogging, forums, social bookmarking, web 2.0, blog network, press release and many others.

John, Thanks for the reply. I am working on all of that and just want to know how long it takes for the links to take place. The articles have been up for a month and I do not have links to my site from them yet. I don't know why...

a few article directory links is just NOT going to be powerful enough in most cases. Most keywords require a certain number of HIGH PR links to your site OR a large number of blog network type links structured in a natural way.

Hii...Just want to share my view over this matter...I am not some SEO expert..but I know that backlinks dont show up immediately. It can take time. How much? No one bust Google knows. These days they are tweaking their algorithms every now and then. It is not possible for a human to track them. But head of web search quality team MAtt Cutts said that they consider more than 200 signals while ranking the page. This includes quality of content, backlinks, social,ads placement, layout,page load time...bounce rate and many other things that no one but Google Algorithm knows. But most controllable parameter is content. If your backlinks are artificially generated...Google may not that. I am still sailing in the same boat. But after spending sometime at webmaster forum and Adsense forum I know that there is much more other thn back links to focus upon.

Just building backlinks is not sufficient. They must get indexed for better benefits. You should bookmark your website pages and as well as your approved articles in the directory. This way, you will build backlinks for your website and as well as your article pages. Work more on building quality backlinks and not on quantity.

how long?i think this is a question no one can answer you 100%....

you need to know what is the purpose of what you are doing. you can try out blog commenting as it is free and it does not take up too much of your time.

If you want fast, free and targeted traffic... Try Forum marketing. It's gotta be the easiest way to get traffic especially if you're just starting out.

You said 3 links fro ezine and 1 each from Go and Squiddo? This is too less to make an impact. There are many ways to build your links. Most are time consuming and need constant input for a long period to get any worthwhile results. You should appreciate this fact that websites which show up on Google page1 have been around for a considerable time and there is no shortcut to age.
Another thing is NEVER buy links. You can find someone to help you build your own
