How do you find backlinks?

I read that many of you add 5-15 backlinks a day to a site. I don't get how you find them. Are they forum profile or comment? I've spent hours looking and maybe find one pr2 site to leave a comment or one forum to join.

Find some blogs. Read the content there, comment on the content and leave your website link in the website box (there must be one). The one who reads the content that you have commented on would also see your comment. The traffic to that blog could get to your own blog.

However, if you do submit articles, do visit article directory blogs and read articles there. Same would be the course of action to get backlinks from any good article dirctory.

You can submit articles to get links and bookmark the same from the article directories. However, social bookmarking has turned out to be the modest and vibrant form of getting backlinks.

There are so many ways. The solution and quality of traffic depends upon the efforts that you would put in. Adding more ice always chills the drink it depends how much you need it to be.

I use seomoz's opensiteexplorer.org they give good link structure of competitor with domain authority, moz rank etc so you get better idea of what your competitors are doing and get them initially to start your link building efforts

It seems you are targeting only links from PR1+ pages, it is bit hard to find, anyway, anyone cannot disagree that, You can rank with the links from PR 0 or PR N/A pages whose domain PR is pretty good. I have noticed many people are still in hungry of searching for PR2+,PR3+ etc links, and just wasting time. Instead if they can get a good link from NON-SPAMMY webpage may be dofollow or nofollow - That helps.

From my experience in SEO so far, what I can tell is, your SEO Strategy (Link Building specially) should have DOFOLLOW, NOFOLLOW, PR N/A,PR0,PR1 and etc... Links to make it NATURAL link building process....

As there are many methods with the use of which you can make so many backlinks to your site as blog comments, article submission, social bookmarking, forum posting and many more. But the important thing is not to get so many backlinks but to get the quality backlinks as much as possible so try to get it with providing the high quality content and that is on high pr and authorised sites.
