Default Did Google Analytics go crazy???

At the beginning of January I realized that 2 of my sites (ebay affiliated) which went well before Xmas, had 0 visits since the med of December. Nevertheless I had ebay sales even with 0 visits.

Moreover I realised that all of my affiliate sites get visits from a same site, about forex, which has nothing to do with my sites which deals with totally different niches.

The strange is that my sites (some 15) are not related one to another, per niche and with links. Only one has a reciprocal link to another and a third site links to a 4th (non reciprocal link). That's all. Nevertheless they all have visits from the site about forex.

Moreover, even 2 of my non-affiliate sites, which are in my own language, hosted in different servers (the others are on hostgator), with 2 different packages, have links from the same site.

This site is really good looking with a very nice template, nice posts, lots of comments (most of them look as spam by people who just left a "good site, thank you!" but it seems that links are not allowed so no comment has a link). The site has nothing to do with my sites and I cannot find a link to my sites in any page...

Now I wonder what's happening....

Could it be a bug in Analytics? Shall I contact the site owner and tell him my problem? Really, this things scares me a little.... Any suggestion is much appreciated!

Is it by chance forex-ninjas that keep showing in your analytics?

I apparently had 100 something clicks from them on one site in adwords... and had over 1,000 from them in completely unrelated, different websites.

Very strange.

I have also noticed ALLLLLLL my sites in analytics had a huge bump on Jan. 25th... huge as in about 1,300% increase.

Have you guys used the new "Real time" beta option that shows traffic to your site in real time? Man it's so cool and addictive.

Assuming you are using the new interface, click Home and then "Real-Time" Beta, choose your website and click overview - and watch the screen update in real time as visitors arrive.

Really cool.

The Google Plus Conspiracy Code is here. Everything you need to know about getting the most out of Google Plus. Real traffic, real rankings, and link love from Google - What's not to love?

Analytics hardly ever shows accurate results for my sites, its quite frustrating to be honest.

Oh yes, you are right. It's my problem too. How can I trust analytics when it says I have 0 visitors (something possible: I always have so little visits!!) but I have sales?? And can I still trust adwords??

True that analytics is not the exact representation of the traffic you receive . Just tally it with your awstats and you will find the difference.
