Hey guys, so there's a lot of convo about how to rank well in SERPs by doing good on page SEO, but how do you rank when you have sites that are not based on information (which uses keywords in articles and such?) Some example I can think of are: Game sites (like addictinggames.com) - they don't write an article for each game, in fact most flash game sites do not even have a description for each of their flash games - so how do they get any Search Engine Traffic? Picture based sites - same for this. I mean, for game sites, you can at least post a description, or short tutorial on how to play the game. But picture sites are mostly just - well - pictures... Any tips or suggestions on how to rank well for these kind of sites? |

Backlinks. But, if I were going to start a game site or any site for that matter, I would include relevant content to speed the process up a bit. You can write a brief description of the game, or a caption about a photo, etc. Either way, ranking a game site is the same as ranking any other site, optimize your pages where possible and build backlinks. No secrets... |

As long as there are a few sentences you're OK with SEO. It's all about backlinks. These 2 sites are in the top 3 for a highly competitive keyword. Notice the content (or lack of).
