CAN PAGE RANKINGS BE AFFECTED BY WEIRD HOSTING COMPANIES?!

My site has been down for 5 days due to hosting company problems etc. And, before that, it was getting a decent amount of searches from all over the world...AND MANY page 1 listings w/Google. The free traffic was working better then my PPC efforts, and even gave me a $4000 order three days ago.

My site should be live again (tomorrow,) so I was wondering if some of you great people from the Warrior Forum give me their opinion of what happens to my rankings from being down this long... (5 DAYS)

How long can being down this long affect me? The same pages are going to be live.

Does Google build in to its robots technology that technical issues do occur numerously and thus keep it the same?

Do they reindex you and have some sort of memory from before you went down?

The longer it stays down, the worse off you will be, thats for sure..

they may slap you.. probably will if they come across your site anytime before it goes live again

i would just go ahead and get a baby croc account on hostgator.. its cheap and you can put as many domains as you want on there,

Why use crappy hosting now that you have this awesome huge order yaknow

The page rank can be affected if your site down for some days and I personally faced this problem when blogger deleted one of my pr 3 blog for few days and return back to me after few days.

5 days, wow, i'd sue the company for that, seriously.
Do some homework before you signup with a hosting company [i have seen and experienced a hosting company run by a 'pro' who turned out to be an 15 year old kid, my site was down for 2 days and this happened almost everyday
Why? - He was just a kid and was concerned in filling his bank rather than his subscriber base, the most unethical move in business IMO]
And if you expect heavy traffic, I'd recommend to buy a VPS if not a dedicated server, becuase the traffic surge may have put your website down.
