Try focusing on the quality of backlinks you create. Try getting as many backlinks from pages that have high pagerank. Include some diversity to your link building. Even if you are creating web 2.0 backlinks at least try to pass them some authority by building backlinks to your backlinks so that they might count in google's eyes.

Most of the time, in my experience you are most likely targeting the wrong keywords. If you have too much competition for the keywords you are trying to rank for, it will be nearly impossible to get the ranking you want. On the other hand if you do complete research for your keywords, and find related keywords that pull even 1/10 of the traffic per month, you will find that there is about 100 times less competition, and easier to rank for, meaning you need to go thru less effort to rank for them. So then taking your original efforts spread over 10 keywords, you end up with more traffic, and better rankings.

At this point you need the help of a SE optimizer. He will analize you site, keywords and competion. Then tell you what is most likely wrong and how long he thinks it will take to rank you and for which keywords.

Hi there, First of all, it's hard to know what exactly the problem is, since you provided near to no information about it. In general 4 months can be a very short while to do SEO if the words you're targeting are with high competition, or are general and have many many results. If your website is new it is also very probable that you haven't yet got to the desired ranking, especially if most of your efforts went to lame links. The first thing you need to do is make sure your website is user-oriented. Meaning make it good for the user, not SE. Put some real quality content in there, something that gives value and information to your customers. When you're done with that you can start linking. Assuming you have done your research and decided on your phrases and your niche, this job should be just as easy (or hard) as the onsite part. Find good websites, blogs, forums - but good ones, active ones, with - again - real content, real people and real quality - and post there. Help the community, be interactive, show you are an authority when it comes to your niche. Then the links will start coming. Start there. |

It's dependent on a lot of things such as content, unique content, quality of backlinks, relevancy, association, opimization, competition and so on. It's really hard to give an advice when you don't provide any real information.

I suggest you review your site again, start with the keywords you are targeting on each post, make sure your competition is not that high. there are many market research tools that will point it out to you, some free ones too. Then review your onsite structure. are your blogs optimized? again, many great plugins will rank your content and show you how you can optimize it, you can try wp seo by Yoast, free and very powerful. Lastly, start building backllinks to each of those posts using the main keyword you choose as your links anchor text. There are many ways to get backlinks to your site, and you should try to mix some of them up. Hope that helps, Tobi

I would try to focus on getting some high PR backlinks. Often article directories are great, but the links don't get indexed by Google which means they don't count. When it comes to backlinks, it's all about quality rather than quantity. |

First of all you should check the content of website that it has relevant keywords or not. After that you have to create backlinks on blogs, Forums, directory submission etc. as you told that you already created backlinks in article, in this case you should check that your backlinks are active or not.
