I am somewhat new to this forum. Have never posted but have been reading a lot on all the different topics. I would like to get everyone's opinion of my site: onecellular dot com

I have not done the onsite SEO work yet as the project will be undertaken by a company in India and I am still waiting for a few links to be fixed before I officially label the site as finished. Please go through it and let me know if this seems like a trustworthy site that people will feel at ease buying from and if there is anything you would add/remove from it.

Apologies as this is not 100% on topic as its not necessarily SEO related but I would greatly appreciate all of your comments and be harsh if needed as I am here to learn and all criticism is welcome.

I think it looks ok from a visual perspective. I think you should have a lot more text on the front page (and other pages).

More text makes the site looks like it has not just been thrown together and also is a positive thing for site visitors and for google.

Even the product pages only have basic info. I see you have said you have a few pages to finish off. Wholesale is empty and About us is very basic.

If I were you I would focus on a lot more content on these pages, particularly the home page and the about us.

I don't see a privacy policy page, you really need one of those.

Your seo is not good the way you setup, you should have keyword rich text in your links.

Instead your links look like

domainname dot com/?id_cms=10

Which is not good for seo. Often search engines will NOT index these pages and it's less likely you will rank well.

For example the page domainname.com/product.php?id_product=12

would be better to be

domainname.com/products/casio-gzone-boulder

Or somerthing like that.

Most CMS pages have the ability to do this with urls. I suggest you look at these few things.

1.) Your home button on your blog links back to the blog and not your actual homepage.
2.) Your privacy policy is missing from your homepage, but its on your blog pages.
3.) Already mentioned, but your layout is bad for SEO. IE you can list your products by numbers in the web address, list them by their name.
4.) You need a lot of unique content. I just started dealing with E-commerce sites, but they have been hit pretty bad by the Panda Update.

Otherwise, it doesn't look half bad....

Looks good. One suggestion - perhaps, the most important factor in the minds of your visitors would be "how good is the second hand product offered?" If there is something that can certify the quality (may be you have a certain procurement process or a good return policy). That message needs to be conveyed strongly on the homepage itself. Hope that helps.

Looks real good, runs/loads very smoothly / fast. Indeed try to make descriptive url's for the product pages, don't care to much about the amount of content (it's not like your running a thin affiliate site here like 99% of the people on this forum), most shops don't have that much content, makes no sense to write nonsense story's just as fill up.

I would clean up the F.A.Q page a bit, looks kinda messy, a better text layout does wonders. Also perhaps use a different font type on the bottom of the homepage for the customer service / online shopping etc links

Title tag: your title tag is ot optimized well. Use the related and searchable keywords like used mobile price, used laptop price and more. Check the search volume before add the keywords.

canonical: your domain is working on both www and non www so please redirect one to other. Google consider this kind of pages as not unique means duplicate.

404: your 404 error page is not customized. so customize your 404 page to redirect the visitors which one faced the problem. It helps to avoid the loose of traffic.

Thank you so much guys. These are all great suggestions. I have not started the SEO yet as I have a lot of inventory to load and want to learn prestashop before doing so but next week that will get started by a company in India. Once that gets started, I will do another post to see what you guys thing. Really do appreciate all the insights as its very helpful.

The privacy Policy page does exist and there is a link to it at the bottom left of the homepage. Perhaps its too hidden as you guys could not find it??

semaximizer - There is a mention of the risk free return policy right on the home page where the writing is in the middle and one of the banners also refers to that. Do you think more is needed?

Nice site - here's a few things to fix. As it has been mentioned several times, your URLs are not properly structured. I'll use this page as an example: onecellular.com/product.php?id_product=41

The URL should be: onecellular.com/laptops-and-notebooks/hp-dv2500-laptop.html

It's import to include the .html on the product pages because it signifies the end of the road. If you left it open - onecellular.com/laptops-and-notebooks/hp-dv2500-laptop/ - search engines may view it as a folder and expect to find deeper links.

Your title tag for that product is: HP dv2500 Laptop - OneCellular | Best Prices on Used Cell Phones, Laptops, and Other Wireless Devices

It should be more along the lines of: HP dv2500 Laptop - Hewlett Packard DV-2500 Laptop Computer

Having a dropdown menu isn't the best idea. You want to keep your page themes relevant and by having a dropdown navigation, every page on your site is going to be linking to every category thus diluting your page themes. Ideally, you only want to link to relevant categories / products (ie: your Cell Phones category would link to your Black Berry, iPhone, and Android subcategories etc.)

Remove the sitewide link to Vista Web Services in your footer.

There's lots more but that should keep you busy for a minute.
