Default Domain with godaddy, hosting with hostgator, how do I use adsense?

I've got adsense adverts showing up on my site (tefl-tips.com) but when I go to adsense I've only had 16 impressions so far this month, when it's been about 1000.

According to adsense I need to change CNAMEs and A records. Or point my Nameservers to adsense. If I point my NS to adsense, will that mess up my hosting?

Because I already have CNAMEs and A records. I don't get this. Could someone please help? Thanks so much

Trying to make a living with TEFL Tips but it's not working. Any advice?

It doesn't say that anywhere. If your ads are displaying then you have set it up correctly and do not need to worry about anything.

Really? In my adsense it says "unverified" and that I'm supposed to change it, though gessit makes sense if the ads are showing up. But the impressions? only 16 when I've had at least 1000 page views?

Hi there fellow EFL specialist.

Set the read option to only one post per page. Otherwise people are scrolling down away from your ads.

Sounds to me as though you signed up for "Adsense for Domains" beside your "Adsense for Content" account. When Google requests nameserver changes it has to do with Adsense for domains. Ignore the message if you do not plan on adding Adsense to parked domains that you own. You don't want to mess your site up!

As for the disconnect in impressions, do you have analytics attached to your Adsense a/c? If not, you should do that for a more accurate picture of your stats!

Added info:
Hhmmm, you definitely new to Wordpress... your site is running way too many plugins and scripts which is increasing your load time heavily (bad for SEO). You need to get rid of some of those plugins!

The EZ Adsense plugin you are using is also causing havoc by showing your Adsense code a gazillion times on the homepage... this is mainly due to the fact that you are showing full posts and not excerpts. I don't use that plugin but you need to check if there is an option for you to not show your code on each post on the homepage. Google will only show 3 ad blocks and that is why you have huge gaps in-between each post.

But I do see you have analytics tracking setup which is cool. Take some time and learn how to setup Wordpress as well as Adsense ads optimally... we all had to start somewhere and the forum is a great place to learn!

My thoughts exactly, I have never been asked anything about nameservers when I have a regular adsense account. Maybe she will have better results by signing up for a regular adsense account if she hasn't done so already.

The click thru rate is so low because of the ad layout. I just scrolled past to read the next post. If you put the ad on the left (or the right) of the text the eye is forced to stop for a moment and the ads are more likely to catch the eye.
